Emily Ridings is a designer and artist. Her work explores unconventional applications of traditional craft, focused in basketry and clothing. Each piece is a celebration of process led by intuition, innovation, and play.  Pieces are formed from found and surplus materials to honor sustainable production and the beauty of transformation.  There is a narrative throughout every piece, fusing past with present and skill with curiosity.

Emily is a Kentucky native and earned a BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute. Features of her work include Vogue, WWD, and The Zoe Report. Her studio is based in Lexington, Kentucky and she often returns to New York for collaborative projects.
